“I have taken a few knitting classes at Fiber, with Sandi Avila aka “The Sweater Goddess.” The classes are awesome, and Sandi is equal parts knowledgeable and patient. Thanks to both her knowledge and exceptional patience, I went from knitting super-basic scarves 15 years ago, to now knitting in the round, reading basic patterns, knitting beanies, stranded knitting, and fixing mistakes, that used to mean putting a project on hold for months + until I could find help. As an added bonus, Sandi is also at the drop in knitting circle on Thursdays (11-1), working on her own amazing projects and helping whoever else needs it with theirs. Everyone I have met through the classes and drop-in knitting has been friendly and welcoming. Fiber, the classes it offers, and the Thursday knitting circle are a fantastic addition to the community.”
