Cut your knitting with confidence - Steeking Class
Skill level: Intermediate – know knit/purl stitch, increase/decrease, can comfortably knit in the round, have completed several projects.
Sandi will teach you how to work through a Fair Isle project with confidence and joyfully cut your knitting to create a button closure. You will understand several techniques used for steeking and why this technique is used.
7 Colors of Jamieson & Smith Shetland wool. 2 sk. of your base color (neutral preferred) and 1 sk each of 6 contrast colors (the more contrast the better), US2 24” circular needle, crochet hook, sharp scissors, sewing thread, 4-3/4” buttons, 2 removable stitch markers.
Homework: Have 1” ribbing completed prior to class.
