Beginning Sock Class – Top Down

Come learn how to knit a traditional top-down sock, it looks harder than it is!

In this 3-session class, you’ll learn the basics of sock construction. The first class will teach the stretchy cast-on at the top of the leg using double pointed needles. The second class will work through the flap and gusset heel and the final class you will learn to Kitchener stitch at the toe. The Churchmouse Basic Sock pattern will be used for this class available on Ravelry or can be purchased through the shop. A yarn has been selected that will be perfect for this project, you just need to select your colors. Enjoy 10% discount on this yarn and any other materials for this class. You will need to bring or purchase : 2 skeins of Jawoll sock yarn, US 1.5 double pointed needles and a darning needle. There will be homework between each session.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner/intermediate, comfortable with knitting in the round.
