Your First Hat - Learn Knitting In The Round June 1st & 8th

You have learned how to knit and purl now learn the next step, knitting in the round. Make your first hat for yourself or a loved one.
In this class you will learn to knit in the round, create a rib using knit and purl stitches and make decreases at the crown. The pattern used is the Love That Cold Hat and will be provided in your class materials. Please bring with you or purchase from the store 16” circular US10 ½ needle, US10 ½ Double Pointed Needle set and tapestry needle. The yarn selected for this class is Malabrigo Chunky. Yarn & Needles can be purchased at the shop with a 10% off discount for this class. The instructor recommends a bamboo needle for this project.
Skill level: Beginner knitter, comfortable with knit and purl stitches.

Bio - Sandi Avila
During a month-long visit, my German grandmother taught me to knit, that was close to 50 years ago. I have been knitting non-stop ever since, I always have something brewing on the needles. I continued my journey in knitting and found my true passion was knitting sweaters. I really enjoy the evolution of a sweater more than any other project. As an added bonus, I found a husband who encourages my knitting habit; he ventures with me to knit shops when we are traveling, it’s always on the itinerary. After I retired from a stressful career, I decided to share my knitting skills and knowledge and became an instructor teaching a whole host of different styles, techniques and skills. I am excited to be a part of Fiber, LLC and part of a wonderful community.

If you should need to cancel your spot in a class you have signed up for wether due to illness or a family emergency, please let us know as soon as possible. If your cancellation occurs within 7 days of the class, you will get a full refund “IF” someone fills your spot. If your cancellations occurs within 24 hours of a class, we are sorry there are no refunds, no exceptions.
I hope you understand why we need to have this policy as making financial transactions, planning, scheduling, marketing costs time & money and each spot needs to be filled for Fiber to be a success.
